Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year direct electrical experience on ships, boats and marine equipment.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
• Ability to obtain OSHA certification.
• Familiarity with NAVSEA standards and procedures.
• Able to travel up to 10% and work onsite in Chesapeake, VA.

Responsibilities

• Perform troubleshooting and correct malfunctions on electrical systems aboard ships and marine equipment.
• Conduct tests and experiments; set up test equipment and record data.
• Repair electrical wiring to power ship engines and navigation systems; secure work areas to prevent shocks.
• Maintain engineering data records and perform basic data analysis and plotting.
