Job summary

Actalent in San Jose, CA is seeking an entry-level Manufacturing Equipment Engineer to learn and support the build, assembly, integration, and shipment of complex manufacturing tools and systems. You will work under supervision, applying standard practices while developing technical and problem-solving skills.

This hands-on role emphasizes 6S, data collection, and cross-functional collaboration with Manufacturing Engineers and Technicians to resolve issues and improve assembly methods.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• 2 years of related experience in manufacturing, electrical or related engineering field.
• Foundational knowledge of mechanical, electrical, or manufacturing engineering principles.
• Willingness to learn complex system build, test, and troubleshooting methods in a hands-on production environment.

Responsibilities

• Learn and apply foundational basics of understanding and executing complex system setups.
• Assemble and disassemble complex tools and systems for delivery with accuracy and speed.
• Follow standard procedures and methods for working with complex manufacturing systems.
• Integrate new sub-assemblies into tools and systems per specifications.
• Support the transition of tools and systems to shipment and crating after build completion.
• Track raw materials and address shortages to maintain production flow.
• Assist with movement and handling of materials to maintain logistics workflow.
• Capture and interpret manufacturing data to support operational excellence.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineers and Technicians to resolve technical issues.
