Job summary

TechStar Group is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support the research, development, preparation, and implementation of new technologies for final assembly processes across North American sites. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will support the ESS – Assembly Planning group’s objective to enhance operational excellence through new processes and tools.

The role calls for traveling requirements, including domestic and international assignments (Japan).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering.
• 2+ years in production preparation of capital equipment including investment planning, technical specification development, procurement and installation, operations sustainment.
• Procedural and practical knowledge of equipment, tools and processes within Manufacturing / Production Engineering.
• Ability to efficiently and effectively self-direct, collaborate with others to meet project objectives.
• Proficient in Autodesk AutoCAD.
• General working knowledge of Autodesk Inventor, Vault, CATIA, XVL.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

• In the EES-Assembly Advanced Equipment Planning team, support Act1:PE Planning Group & Act 2: Site Team operational excellence within vehicle assembly.
• Introduce innovative thinking to drive enterprise-wide improvements of Cost Per Unit (CPU) through logistics, infrastructure, and manufacturing enhancements via cross-group collaboration.
