Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Junior Manual Test Engineer to perform component, integration, and system-level testing on a fast-paced, mission-critical program. You will write and execute test procedures, evaluate software changes, and verify defect corrections within a dynamic lab environment.

The role supports a test organization with automation and regression testing, requiring collaboration with software, systems, and deployment teams. TS/SCI with polygraph is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, or related field with at least 2 years of relevant work experience.
• Experience with SDLC and basic testing concepts (test cases, test plans, defect tracking, regression testing).
• Experience in software testing, system administration, and/or QA, with ability to log, track, and retest defects.

Responsibilities

• Perform system testing of components and integration testing through end-to-end evaluation.
• Document test results for corrective actions, reporting, and audits.
• Develop test methodologies and perform subsystem interface and software module testing.
• Develop and implement test procedures and test reports.
• Review test plans and define test acceptance criteria.
• Develop and refine test data.
• Identify interface requirements for software components.
• Support the software configuration management process.
• Provide system testing input for test procedures/documentation.
