Job summary

GMR Group is seeking a Finance professional to coordinate between Corporate Finance, SSC, and corporate teams. Responsibilities include MIS preparation from SAP data, budgeting and AOP alignment with GAAP and IND AS, and support for audits and regulatory reporting.

The role covers treasury management, project capitalization, FAR, and finalization of accounts with monthly MIS and variance analysis. Requires 2–5 years experience in project accounting, taxation & audit, treasury, and related areas.

Qualifications

• Bachelor/Master degree in commerce, accounting, finance, or related field.

Responsibilities

• SAP entries including prepaid run and depreciation review.
• Invoice booking and submission to mailroom.
• Vendor reconciliation and employee imprest claim processing.
• Petty cash management (collections & payments as per GMR policy).
• BG tracking and management; daily cash flow monitoring and treasury operations.
• Preparation of payment letters, NEFT transactions, and vendor payments.
• GST challans, TDS challans; ensure statutory compliance; RPT disclosures; coordination with auditors/regulators.
• Monthly MIS preparation and reporting; budget preparation, monitoring, variance analysis; support in planning and decision-making.
• Finalization of books: quarterly/year-end financials per GAAP/IND AS; RPT/BPC data for consolidation; month/quarter/year-end closing; variance analysis.
• Project capitalization and FAR: CCN-based capitalization review; depreciation; quarterly FAR review.
• Reports to regulatory authority and funding agency; mentoring and timely submission of reports; ensure zero-tolerance.

Job description

Job Purpose

Co-ordination between Corporate Finance, SSC and Corporate teams providing inputs on MIS, Project, Planning, Operations, Procurement And Routine Accounting etc. Supporting in AOP preparation as per GAAP and IndAS. MIS preparation by accumulating the data from SAP and prepare the MIS, Analysation of AOP vs actual expenses after preparation. Facilitation of Statutory as well internal Audits of the Bhogapuram Cargo on projected time. To take cognizance of matters related to treasury including investments of surplus funds.

Accounting & SAP

• BG (Bank Guarantee) tracking and management.
• Daily cash flow monitoring and treasury operations.

Compliance & Reporting

• Preparation of GST challans and TDS challans.
• Ensure statutory compliance with financial regulations.
• RPT disclosure and Support in AERA filing.
• Coordination with auditors and regulatory authorities.

Financial Analysis & MIS

• Monthly MIS preparation and reporting.
• Budget preparation, monitoring, and variance analysis.
• Support in financial planning and strategic decision-making.

Support in Finalization of books of account

• Preparation of Financials for quarter ended and year ended finalization as per GAAP and INDAS.
• Preparation of RPT & BPC data for the consolidation with GMR financials
• General accounting for the month end, quarter end, year-end closing & variance analysis

Project Capitalization and Fixed Asset Register (FAR)

• Review of project capitalization based on the CCNs.
• Ensure correctness of Depreciation
• Quarterly review of FAR and highlighting the variations

Support in Reports to Regulatory Authority and Funding Agency

• Mentoring and monitoring the preparation of reports to be submitted to the regulatory authority.
• Review and ensure timely submission of the reports, aegis the zero-tolerance activity.

EXTERNAL INTERACTIONS

• Interacting with the Regulatory authority and funding agency to comply with their report requirements.
• Interacting with Statutory Bodies (Income Tax Dept., ITAT, Service Tax and GST department).
• Interacting with funding agencies (Banks, Financial Institutions).
• Interacting with auditors and accounting firms for external audit related matters.

INTERNAL INTERACTIONS

• Interacting with other verticals within Finance department including SSC Team.
• Interacting with all other departments i.e. Legal, Commercial, Procurement, Operations, HR, P&E, IT with in HQ
• Interacting with Taxation, Secretarial, Account closing team.

EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor/Master degree in commerce, Accounting, Finance, or related field.

Relevant Experience

2-5 years of experience of which at least 1 years’ experience in Project Accounting, Taxation & Audit, Treasury, Capitalization and FAR Management
