Job summary

TIC – The Industrial Company in Texas is seeking an entry-level crafts assistant to help troubleshoot and support production machinery under supervision. You will learn to set up, run, troubleshoot, and tear down equipment while assisting with preventive maintenance and downtime reduction.

The role requires adapting to weather, heights and rotating shifts, with emphasis on safety and reliable daily operations. Prior field exposure and tool proficiency are advantageous.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions and communicate effectively with management/supervision.
• Field experience in chosen craft discipline.
• Knowledge of the safe and efficient use of hand tools, power tools and layout tools.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot/diagnose problems with production machinery with industry specialists.
• Learn to set-up, run, troubleshoot, and tear down production machinery.
• Assist with keeping designated machinery in running condition.
• Minimize downtime by assisting with PM procedures and management.
• Assist with troubleshooting machinery errors during production times.
• Work with Machine Operators to ensure machines are running safely and properly.
