Job summary

New York Edge in New York City is seeking Jr. Leadership & SEL Coaches to join our Leadership & SEL Department.

This part-time, non-exempt role involves administering SEL assessments, delivering curriculum, and coordinating with schools to support student leadership and well-being at assigned sites. You will work with teachers, families, and clinicians to connect students to supports, participate in professional development, and help foster a positive, inclusive learning environment after school

Qualifications

• Associate's or bachelor's degree in counseling, social work, psychology or related field.
• Minimum of three years working with youth in educational or community settings.
• Strong tech and data management skills: Word, Excel, Google Drive, Salesforce.
• Ability to build positive relationships with youth, families and staff.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Administer SEL pre- and post-assessments at sites and support data entry.
• Deliver the leadership and SEL curriculum during afterschool hours.
• Support external SEL and mental health referrals and connect families with services.
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to promote social-emotional development.
• Participate in year-round professional development and restorative practices.
