Job summary

Squeeze Technology is seeking an early-career data integration engineer to develop and support integrations between business applications. You will work with APIs and automation platforms to move and reshape data, write SQL, and prepare datasets for AI use.

You will build Power BI dashboards, communicate requirements clearly, and follow best practices for version control and deployment as you grow with the team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Engineering, or related discipline.
• Strong SQL skills and hands-on experience with relational databases.
• Familiarity with Python or similar language for scripting and data manipulation.
• Exposure to ETL/ELT concepts and building data workflows.
• Familiarity with APIs, RESTful services, and JSON/XML.
• Experience with version control tools such as Git.
• Clear communication skills to explain technical processes to diverse audiences.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, attention to detail, and sound judgment under supervision.
• Eagerness to learn and adapt to new tools; open to feedback.
• Preferred experience: building ETL/ELT pipelines in production environments.
• Preferred: Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, or similar cloud data platforms.
• Preferred: iPaaS/workflow tools such as Azure Logic Apps, Power Automate, Azure Function Apps, Workato, Zapier, Make.
• Preferred familiarity with business APIs (MS 365, Salesforce, HubSpot, NetSuite, ServiceNow, Halo, ConnectWise).
• Preferred exposure to AI/ML concepts (vector databases, embeddings, RAG, LLM prep).
• Preferred experience with unstructured data (documents, transcripts, knowledge bases).
• Preferred experience with Power BI Service administration, row-level security, or dataflows.

Responsibilities

• We build and support integrations between business applications using APIs and automation platforms like Azure Logic Apps and Power Automate.
• Assist with ETL workflows in Azure Data Factory to move and reshape data across systems.
• Write SQL to extract, transform, and validate data and identify anomalies.
• Prepare data for AI use by cleaning, structuring, and tagging for RAG pipelines and semantic search.
• Build Power BI dashboards and reports addressing real business questions from stakeholder input.
• Communicate with customers and teammates to clarify requirements and explain work in plain language.
• Document our work and follow version control and deployment practices.
• Ask questions, seek feedback, and expand scope as skills develop.
• Support integrations and pipelines, deliver dashboards independently, and be a reliable client contact as you grow.
• Expand into AI-enablement work, new platforms, and larger client projects over time.
