Requirements
Must have:
- We require a bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Engineering, or a related discipline; recent and upcoming graduates are welcome.
- We look for strong SQL skills and hands‑on experience with relational databases.
- We need familiarity with Python, or a comparable language, for scripting and data manipulation.
- We expect exposure to ETL/ELT concepts and the ability to build data workflows through coursework, internships, personal projects, or practical experience.
- We want familiarity with APIs, RESTful services, and structured formats such as JSON and XML.
- We value experience with version control tools such as Git.
- We require clear communication skills, including the ability to explain technical processes and data insights to technical and non-technical audiences.
- We look for strong analytical thinking, problem‑solving ability, attention to detail, and sound judgment on moderately complex tasks under supervision.
- We want someone with a genuine eagerness to learn, who actively seeks feedback and adapts quickly to new tools.
- Preferred experience includes building ETL/ELT pipelines in production environments.
- Preferred experience includes Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, or similar cloud data platforms.
- Preferred experience includes iPaaS or workflow automation tools such as Azure Logic Apps, Power Automate, Azure Function Apps, Workato, Zapier, or Make.
- Preferred familiarity with common business application APIs such as Microsoft 365, Salesforce, HubSpot, NetSuite, ServiceNow, Halo, or ConnectWise.
- Preferred exposure to AI/ML concepts such as vector databases, embeddings, RAG, or preparing data for LLM‑based applications.
- Preferred experience working with unstructured data such as documents, transcripts, and knowledge bases.
- Preferred experience with Power BI Service administration, row‑level security, or dataflows.
Responsibilities:
- We build and support integrations between business applications using APIs and automation platforms such as Azure Logic Apps and Power Automate, following designs defined by senior engineers.
- We assist with ETL workflows in Azure Data Factory to move and reshape data across systems.
- We write SQL to extract, transform, and validate data, while learning to identify anomalies.
- We help prepare data for AI use by cleaning, structuring, and tagging it for workloads such as RAG pipelines and semantic search.
- We build Power BI dashboards and reports that address real business questions, working from stakeholder input with guidance from senior team members.
- We communicate with customers and teammates to clarify requirements and explain our work in plain language.
- We document our work so others can follow it, and we follow the team’s version control and deployment practices.
- We ask questions, receive feedback, and steadily expand our scope as our skills develop.
- We support integrations and pipelines we have built, deliver dashboards independently, and serve as a reliable contact for the clients we support as we grow in the role.
- We expand into AI‑enablement work, new platforms, and larger client projects over time.
