Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in Interior Design and/or Interior Architecture
  • 1-3 years' minimum experience working in interior design; new construction experience preferred
  • Knowledge of and experience with custom furnishings
  • Ability to read and comprehend construction documents
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Office Suite, and Google Drive required
  • Proficiency in 3D rendering (e.g., SketchUp, Revit, Lumion or Maxwell) preferred, but not required
  • Individual must be professional, responsible, highly organized & detail-oriented, with a strong work ethic and time management skills.

Candidate will possess the following skills:

  • Individual should be proactive and a problem solver
  • Positive "can do" disposition a must!
  • Ability to work in a collaborative design environment as well as autonomously

Position Responsibilities:

  • Research and source selections of finish, material, hardware and furnishings in accordance with project budget and timeline
  • Conduct field measurements and take notes at site meetings, document and distribute meeting minutes for client meetings
  • Assist principal designer with development and drafting of AutoCAD Plan and Elevations, virtual design plans and renderings
  • Assist principal designer with client presentations (all CAD drafts and gathering of specified samples, materials and pricing for design presentations, etc.)
  • Regular communication with principal designer to facilitate furnishing and material specification, pricing, and purchasing pertaining to each project
  • Interface with clients and vendors: selection and coordination of finishes/materials
  • Manage projects including orders, finish schedules, material selection and installation with various subcontractors and vendors
  • Coordinate and manage furnishing installations.

This is a contract designer position. Candidate must have a valid license and personal car. Employees are required to travel to jobs in and nearby Atlanta, Georgia as needed. Business hours are Monday through Friday 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
