Who We’re Looking For
Peterson’s Corporate Risk Management Department seeks a passionate and highly motivated Junior Insurance Analyst.
The primary responsibility of this role is to is to support the Risk Management Department in administering the certificate of insurance compliance program as well as the various corporate insurance programs. Responsibilities will include, but is not limited to, the administration of collecting underwriting information for coverage placement, and running reports for claims oversight and investigation, loss forecasting and analysis, certificate of insurance compliance as well as consult with internal and external stakeholders.

What You Bring
- Bachelor’s Degree in Risk Management, Business, Finance, or a related field or equivalent progressive experience in risk management or insurance-related field
- Ability to be detail-oriented, organized, and able to multi-task in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication and presentation skills.
- Requires a high level of administration (data entry, organization, etc.)
- Excellent computer Proficiency in Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) and AI software
- Ability to analyze data and draw sound conclusions, if requested
- Ability to provide exemplary customer service
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- High levels of integrity, work ethic and dependability
Added bonus if you have
- Experience in overseeing complex report management of insurance claims
- Prior experience in Property, Casualty, and/or Specialty Lines of Insurance
- Certification in Associate in Risk Management (ARM) or other insurance industry certification
- Experience with risk/claims management information database software
- Ability to work with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Policy Administration
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather relevant data and information for insurance underwriting purposes for annual policy renewals or insurance quotes
- Maintain accurate records of insurance policies, including coverage details, policy limits, and renewal dates
- Assist in coordinating with insurance providers to process policy endorsements, cancellations, and other policy-related transactions and track as needed
- Assist in the completion of renewal applications for various insurance policies
Certificate of Insurance Compliance
- Assist in the oversight of the certificate tracking third-party administrator and assist in the certificates of insurance compliance process via data gathering, analysis, and issue resolution
Claims Oversight
- Facilitate the timely reporting of insurance claims and ensure all necessary documentation is collected for the adjusters
- Collaborate with internal teams and external adjusters to expedite the claims to closure or an expedited subrogation
- Track and analyze historical loss data
Risk Management & Loss Control Coordination
- Work closely with operational teams to implement risk management best practices and preventive measures
- Coordinate risk assessments for new projects, initiatives, or business processes
- Coordinate risk analysis and loss control services with property managers, insurance carriers, and brokers
- Assist with the management and administration of the company's business continuity and disaster recovery manuals
- Stay up to date with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to insurance and risk management
Reporting & Analysis
- Assist VP Risk Management in report monitoring
- Assist the VP of Risk Management on comprehensive reports and presentations to senior management
- Prepare regular risk management reports for departmental and executive review, as required
- Assist in the internal allocation of insurance premiums by maintaining the statement of values spreadsheet
- Maintain tables of property and business interruption values, general liability exposures, fine arts, etc.
Vendor & Stakeholder Relationships
- Assist in relationships with third-party service providers, including brokers, underwriters, and other third-party administrators
Administrative Support
- Assist in maintaining risk management budget and administration of invoices for approval by the VP of Risk Management
- Schedule and coordinate meetings, travel, or other group activities
- Other risk management duties as assigned
