Job summary

Pillar Innovations is seeking a Jr. Instrumentation Technician to support new and existing customer systems across instruments such as gas monitors, flow meters, and pressure meters.

The role focuses on routine calibrations, troubleshooting, and repair, with a requirement to work independently or in teams and to present a professional image on site. The position reports to the Instrumentation Department Manager and is based at the assigned location, with potential travel and after-hours work as

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of field instrumentation experience.
• Degree in technical discipline or HS with relevant experience.
• Strong ability to read electrical schematics; P&ID knowledge is a plus.
• Willingness to travel and work flexible hours including after-hours and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Calibrate and troubleshoot a variety of instruments (gas monitors, flow meters, pressure, temperature, etc.).
• Support customer systems at job sites and maintain instrument performance records.
• Identify and implement improvements to measurement systems and installation quality.
• Communicate issues clearly to vendors and customers while ensuring safety compliance.
