Job summary

Pillar Innovations is seeking a Jr. Instrumentation Technician to support calibration and troubleshooting of gas monitors, flow meters, pressure meters, and related instruments at our Morgantown, KY location. You will work with customers, document procedures, and contribute to reliable instrument operation.

The role reports to the Instrumentation Department Manager and requires flexibility, team collaboration, and occasional travel to customer sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Oil & Gas experience preferred but not required.
• Degree in technical discipline or HS diploma with relevant experience.
• 0–2 years as a field instrumentation technician.
• Experience with instrumentation air tubing.
• Knowledge of basic electrical theories and troubleshooting.
• Ability to read electrical schematics; P&ID knowledge a plus.
• Strong customer service and independent work ethic.
• Willing to work flexible hours and travel.

Responsibilities

• Calibrate various instruments (gas monitors, pressure, temperature, etc.).
• Troubleshoot process control performance issues.
• Support after-hours and weekend work as needed.
• Develop calibration procedures and manage equipment certification.
• Plan tasks to meet production and maintenance schedules.
• Improve installation reliability and safety compliance.
• Communicate issues to vendors with workable solutions.
• Contribute to reliability and maintenance problem resolution.
• Adhere to EH&S policies and company rules.
