Job summary

Carollo Engineers in Portland, OR is seeking an entry- to early-career Instrumentation and Control Engineer to contribute to water and wastewater projects. You will assist in design, drafting, and documentation under experienced engineers, gaining exposure to P&ID development, control networks, and site visits.

Qualifications

• Degree in electrical, instrumentation and control, mechanical, or chemical engineering.
• Experience with instrumentation and control systems for water/wastewater facilities a plus.
• Familiarity with P&ID concepts, control schematics, and basic network concepts.
• Ability to work in a project team with senior staff, CAD technicians, and inspectors.
• Strong communication skills and quick learning ability.

Responsibilities

• Perform instrumentation and control system tasks under supervision.
• Assist in developing P&IDs and I/O lists.
• Support P&ID database management and basic drafting.
• Review submittals and conduct specification research.
• Contribute to control system design and project coordination.
• Travel to sites and assist during construction and operation.
