Job summary

Carollo Engineers, a leading water-focused engineering firm, seeks an entry‑level Instrumentation & Control Engineer. Responsibilities include supporting control system design for water/wastewater facilities, P&ID development, and basic drafting.

Strong teamwork and problem solving are essential as you work with senior engineers on project teams. You will develop technical skills, learn company and client standards, and participate in site visits to observe construction and operation.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering; Instrumentation and Control Engineering; Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering.
0-4 years experience
Experience in start-up of instrumentation and control systems for water and wastewater facilities
Experience in conduction and observing loop checks
EIT or FE license - or will obtain in 1 year after employment
Basic understanding of the National Electrical Code

Responsibilities

Performs basic instrumentation and control system engineering tasks and calculations for water and wastewater treatment facilities under the direction and supervision of a Staff Instrumentation Engineer
Assists in the development of P&ID's and associated I/O
P&ID database manipulation
Performs basic CADD drafting
Submittal review
Performs specification research
Assists in development of portions of technical memorandums and specification research
