Job summary

Eldora Mountain Resort is seeking a friendly Junior Instructors for its Ski & Ride School. This seasonal role serves our youngest guests, assisting with equipment, guiding children, and supporting instructors in daily activities.

Open to high school students ages 15-17. Roles require weekend/holiday work, and certification by PSIA-AASI by Jan 1, 2027 is expected; training is provided. Eldora offers great perks and a vibrant mountain community.

Qualifications

• Must love working with kids ages 4-6 and communicate effectively to build trust and have fun.
• Willing to learn and develop personal skills through free ski & snowboard training.
• Must be able to access daily schedules and company notices electronically; follow Eldora policies.
• Must obtain Junior Instructor certification from PSIA-AASI by Jan 1, 2027.

Eldora is the backyard winter mountain playground for Greater Denver, Boulder County, and Colorado's northern Front Range. Eldora is located just outside of the charming mountain town of Nederland, Colorado, about 20 miles west of Boulder and less than 50 miles from downtown Denver.

Eldora strives to deliver Colorado's Front Range the most memorable outdoor adventures to locals and out-of-town visitors. Eldora Mountain Resort employs up to 700 employees at peak season and has 680 acres of lift-accessible terrain for skiing and snowboarding, including a Woodward Mountain Park experience, and a world class Nordic Center.

Position Summary

Ski & Ride School Junior Instructors are friendly, welcoming, and inclusive all while providing unparalleled customer service experiences for our youngest guests. They provide our instructors with support indoors and outdoors with our children's programs and daily youth lesson guests. Our Junior Instructors work throughout the season and ensure the best possible experience for the Eldora guest by helping with equipment prep, supervising lunch, escorting children to their class, riding chairlifts with students and assisting children with other needs. Junior Instructors work on an individual basis and as a part of the Eldora team in a support role. Previous experience with teaching/coaching/mentoring children or customer service preferred.

Specific Job Skills

• Ability to ski and ride well, but we are looking for a 'people person' who has the desire to develop their personal skiing and/or riding skills.
• Able to work long and irregular hours including weekends and holidays.
• Must be an excellent communicator and work well with others in and outside of the SRS department.
• Previous experience working with children (4-14yr olds) preferred.
• Must be able to obtain Junior Instructor certification from PSIA-AASI by Jan 1, 2027
• Ability to pass a background check by company standards.
