Job summary

W-Industries in Houston seeks a Junior Industrial Automation Engineer to support design, provide technical guidance, and ensure deliverables meet client requirements, safety, and codes.

You will collaborate with automation teams, project managers, and other engineering groups to drive project execution from concept to commissioning, performing hands-on engineering activities and contributing to technical proposals and design reviews.

Qualifications

• Transform challenges into technical solutions with SOW and technical definitions in proposals.
• Develop, review, and support engineering designs and documentation for electrical/instrumentation/control systems.
• Provide feasibility-focused technical support and ensure design intent is met.
• Review drawings, specifications, and vendor docs for standards compliance.
• Contribute hands-on to specified engineering activities per project strategy.
• Collaborate with leaders and PMs to develop work plans and schedules.
• Participate in design reviews and provide troubleshooting guidance.
• Support commissioning and testing to ensure specs are met.
• Monitor safety, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Design, review, and approve electrical and control system solutions for industrial projects.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and calculations.
• Provide technical guidance to project teams and field personnel.
• Assist in project planning, resource allocation, and schedule development.
• Support site commissioning and ensure system operation per design.
