Job summary

Hatch is seeking a dynamic Junior Hydropower Engineer to join the Energy group in our Charlotte, NC office. You will support global offices while gaining hands-on experience in dam and hydropower project development.

The role targets recent graduates or students near graduation with a degree in civil, mechanical, or hydrology & hydraulics engineering. Expect in-office work with occasional travel and mentorship from senior engineers.

Qualifications

• Recent or upcoming graduates with relevant skills and potential.
• Degree in civil, mechanical, or hydrology & hydraulics engineering required or preferred.
• GPA requirement: minimum 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Lead Engineer in developing project scopes and cost estimates.
• Apply engineering principles to provide efficient, economical design solutions.
• Develop knowledge for the development and rehabilitation of dams and hydropower projects.
• Gain valuable on-site practical experience.
