Hatch in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Hydropower Engineering Intern to join the Energy group to support offices globally from our Charlotte, NC location. This in-office role emphasizes practical, on-site learning with opportunities to contribute to dam and hydropower projects.

You are currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in civil, mechanical, or hydrology & hydraulics engineering with at least a 3.0 GPA.

Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil, mechanical, or hydrology & hydraulics engineering
• Minimum of a cumulative 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale

As the successful candidate, you will:

• Assist the Lead Engineer in developing project scopes, engineering estimates, capital costestimatesand developing repair methodologies
• Apply engineering principles to provide efficient, effective, economical, and timely solutions to design problems in a multidiscipline project environment
• Develop knowledgefor the development and rehabilitation of dams and hydropower projects
• Gain valuable on-site practical experience

You bring to the role:

• Willingness to travel and work onsite (including remote locations)
• Previous co-op or internship experience is preferred

• Assist with preparation of detailed design for projects
• Support preparation of drawings from detailed notes and specifications

• Provide support to Senior Engineers and Designers as and when needed
