Job summary

HDR, Inc. in Charlotte, NC seeks a Hydropower Engineering Intern/Co-Op to gain real-world experience on exciting projects and to connect with recent graduates and company leaders through mentoring programs.

You will apply standard engineering techniques, perform field observations and data collection under supervision, and assist with compiling engineering reports and memos as part of our employee-owned culture.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering program.
• Attention to detail
• Possess strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Basic Microsoft Office skills
• Active participant in our employee-owned culture is a must
• Prefer 2 years completed toward degree with 3.0+ GPA
• Ability to safely navigate an active construction site
• An interest in hydroelectric power
• An interest in dam safety
• Demonstrated knowledge of software packages related to field of study/industry
