Job summary

DVL Group, Inc is seeking a Junior HVAC Technician to assist senior techs in servicing commercial/industrial thermal cooling systems. You will learn preventative maintenance, troubleshoot problems, and read schematics while interfacing professionally with customers.

Qualifications

• One-year certificate from college or trade school.
• Understanding of the refrigeration cycle.
• Basic refrigeration troubleshooting.
• Ability to utilize a multi-meter in troubleshooting electrical systems.
• Valid driver's license to drive to customer sites in Company provided vehicle.
• Available to perform scheduled on call & overtime duties when able and required.
• Prior safety training and OSHA 10 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist technician and gain skills to perform preventative maintenance on commercial/industrial thermal cooling equipment.
• Assist with troubleshooting, diagnose problems, and service components.
• Learn about HVAC systems including split systems, DX systems, glycol, controls.
• Learn to solder/braze refrigerant lines and water lines.
• Communicate with dispatchers/technicians about job details and statuses.
• Read and interpret schematics and control circuits with supervision.
• Interface with customers professionally and represent DVL positively.
• Handle refrigerant, reclaim equipment, vacuum pump, and micron gauge safely.
• Follow safety practices and maintain ladders and tool safety.
• Operate company vehicle safely and manage truck inventory.
• Learn from senior technicians to improve troubleshooting skills.
