Job summary

DVL Group, Inc is seeking a HVAC Junior Technician to assist senior technicians in servicing commercial/industrial thermal cooling systems. You will gain hands‑on experience in critical infrastructure environments and refrigeration equipment while building customer relationships and technical know‑how.

The role emphasizes learning, safety, and professional communication as you support preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and installation tasks.

Qualifications

• One-year certificate from college or trade school.
• Understanding of the refrigeration cycle.
• Basic refrigeration troubleshooting.
• Ability to utilize a multi-meter in troubleshooting electrical systems.
• Valid driver’s license to drive to customer sites in Company provided vehicle.
• Available to perform scheduled on call & overtime duties when able and required.
• Prior safety training and OSHA 10 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist technician and learn to perform standard Preventative Maintenance duties on Commercial/Industrial thermal cooling equipment.
• Assist technician and learn to troubleshoot and diagnose problems, change out compressors, failed parts, etc.
• Learn about HVAC systems including split systems, DX systems, glycol, controls, etc.
• Learn to solder, braze refrigerant lines, water lines, etc.
• Communicate daily with dispatchers and technicians on reporting job by job information about equipment ID, completed jobs, problems encountered, assistance needed with repairs.
• Learn to read and interpret schematics and control circuits.
• Interface with the customer in a professional manner and present DVL positively.
• Safely operate and maintain company vehicle and learn to maintain a truck inventory.
• Establish relationships with other technicians to learn from them to troubleshoot tickets.
