Viridien is seeking a motivated Junior HPC Linux IT Specialist to join our IT team in Houston. The role focuses on Linux systems, storage platforms, and HPC infrastructure, with guidance from senior engineers.

You will assist with installation, configuration, maintenance, troubleshooting, and documentation, while learning automation, scripting, and HPC environment management. A strong customer service mindset and willingness to learn are essential.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of Linux administration, IT support, or related experience.
• Basic Linux command-line knowledge.
• Understanding of hardware, operating systems, and networking fundamentals.
• Basic scripting knowledge.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Responsabilités

• Assist with installation, configuration, maintenance and troubleshooting of Linux systems.
• Support routing operational tasks, monitoring, and health checks.
• Respond to support tickets and assist with issue resolution.
• Create and maintain technical documentation.
• Participate in change management processes.
• Assist with patching, upgrades, and maintenance activities.
• Support storage, backup and data management activities.
• Learn and assist with automation and scripting.
• Support SLURM environments and HPC users.
