Job summary

GPI, a multi-discipline engineering firm, invites applications for an Entry-Level Highway Engineer in New Hampshire. You will assist in design of highways, roadways, intersections, and traffic improvements, learning from seasoned professionals.

The role offers mentorship, hands-on experience on projects across planning, design, and construction, with opportunities toward PE licensure; willingness to perform field visits and collaborate with project teams.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited Civil Engineering degree required.
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or within one year preferred.
• Internship or co-op experience in transportation or civil engineering is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design of highways, roadways, intersections, and transportation infrastructure projects.
• Prepare engineering calculations, plans, specifications, and technical reports.
• Develop geometric roadway designs using industry-standard engineering software.
• Support drainage, stormwater management, erosion and sediment control, and utility coordination efforts.
• Assist with traffic analysis and transportation studies.
• Coordinate with project managers, senior engineers, surveyors, environmental specialists, and other design disciplines.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from ABET-accredited university
