Job summary

LVI Associates in Houston seeks a Junior H&H Modeler to join its Water Resources team, focusing on hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, drainage design, floodplain analysis, and stormwater projects across Texas.

You will work with PMs and engineers on a range of public and private sector projects, including drainage improvements and watershed planning, gaining hands-on experience and mentorship along the way.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
  • 0–3 years in water resources, drainage, or H&H modeling.
  • EIT certification or eligible to obtain within 12 months preferred.
  • Experience with HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, SWMM, InfoWorks ICM, ArcGIS, or Civil 3D.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with hydrologic and hydraulic analyses for drainage and infrastructure projects.
  • Develop and maintain H&H models using HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, InfoWorks ICM, SWMM, and ArcGIS.
  • Support floodplain mapping, watershed studies, and stormwater master planning.
  • Perform data collection, quality control, and calculations.
  • Prepare technical reports, exhibits, drainage studies, and documentation.
  • Coordinate with project teams, clients, and regulatory agencies as required.
  • Assist with permitting and compliance activities related to stormwater and drainage projects.
  • Support senior staff with project delivery and client presentations.

A growing civil engineering consulting firm in Houston is seeking a Junior H&H Modeler to join its Water Resources team. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career engineer who is looking to develop technical expertise in hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, drainage design, floodplain analysis, and stormwater management projects throughout Texas.
