Job summary

LVI Associates seeks a Project Engineer to join its Water Resources team in San Antonio. You’ll work on drainage, stormwater, flood mitigation, and municipal infrastructure projects across Texas.

You’ll collaborate with experienced leaders from concept through construction, support project delivery, and help communities improve resilience to flooding and aging infrastructure challenges. Texas PE preferred with 4–8 years of experience.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Texas PE license or ability to obtain within 12 months.
  • 4–8 years of experience in water resources or public works.
  • Experience with hydrologic/hydraulic modeling software.
  • Proficiency with Civil 3D, ArcGIS, and MS Office.
  • Strong communication and coordination with clients and agencies.

  • Support planning, design and delivery of water resources and public infrastructure projects.
  • Perform hydrologic and hydraulic analyses for drainage and floodplain studies.
  • Prepare engineering reports, calculations, design plans, and technical specifications.
  • Develop stormwater management and drainage solutions for municipal and transportation projects.
  • Coordinate with clients, agencies, and internal project teams.
  • Assist with project schedules, budgets, and deliverables.
  • Support business development efforts and proposal preparation as needed.

  • Strong communication and project coordination skills.
  • Experience working with Texas municipalities, counties, TxDOT, or river authorities is preferred.
