Job summary

Duke Energy is seeking an Engineer I to support modeling within Distribution SCADA and ADMS, enabling real-time monitoring, analysis, and control of the electric distribution grid. You will develop foundational skills under supervision, craft scripts (Python, PowerShell, C#), build and validate data models, and design UI content for Distribution Control Center operators.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited B.S. in Engineering (Electrical preferred).
• Demonstrated ability to learn and apply fundamental engineering concepts.

Responsibilities

• Provides engineering guidance on SCADA/ADMS modeling, data integration and application functionality.
• Develops and maintains scripts and data models supporting modeling activities.
• Prepares technical reports, calculations and sketches related to problems of moderate scope.
• Collaborates with modeling, operations, IT and engineering teams to support integrated grid applications.
