Job summary

Michael Kors is seeking a junior graphic designer to join our Global Creative team in NYC. You will work closely with the Senior Graphic Designer to shape digital experiences across our e-commerce platforms, emails, and digital marketing channels.

You bring a strong foundation in graphic design with typography, layout, and design systems, plus proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Cloud. HTML/CSS knowledge and motion design are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Communication Design, or related field or equivalent professional experience.
• 2–3 years of professional graphic design experience in fashion, luxury, retail, e-commerce, or creative agency.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating typography, composition, layout, and digital design for website, email, and digital marketing.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Senior Graphic Designer to concept, develop, and execute digital creative for Michael Kors e-commerce ecosystem.
• Support website design and updates for Michael Kors, Michael Kors Outlet, and wholesale platforms, ensuring brand consistency.
• Design engaging email campaigns and digital marketing assets translating campaigns, product stories, and brand initiatives into compelling CX.
• Collaborate with designers, copywriters, PMs, and cross-functional partners to deliver high-quality creative on schedule.
• Adapt concepts across formats, platforms, and channels while maintaining brand consistency.
• Help develop and maintain digital design guidelines, templates, and systems for efficiency.

Job description

We are seeking a talented, detail-oriented Junior Graphic Designer to join the Michael Kors Global Creative team. Working closely with the Senior Graphic Designer, you will help shape and execute compelling digital experiences across our e-commerce platforms, email communications, and digital marketing channels.

The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in graphic design, a refined visual sensibility, and a passion for fashion, branding, and digital innovation. You bring a discerning eye for typography, layout, composition, and design systems, along with an understanding of how thoughtful design can enhance both brand storytelling and the customer experience.

You're collaborative, curious, highly organized, and eager to contribute creative ideas while continuing to develop your craft in a fast-paced environment.

What You'll Do

• Partner with the Senior Graphic Designer to concept, develop, and execute digital creative across the Michael Kors e-commerce ecosystem.
• Support ongoing website design and updates for Michael Kors, Michael Kors Outlet, and wholesale partner platforms, ensuring consistency across brand touchpoints.
• Design engaging email campaigns and digital marketing assets that translate seasonal campaigns, product stories, and brand initiatives into compelling customer experiences.
• Collaborate with designers, copywriters, project managers, and cross-functional business partners to deliver high-quality creative on schedule.
• Adapt and extend creative concepts across multiple formats, platforms, and marketing channels while maintaining brand consistency.
• Help develop and maintain digital design guidelines, templates, and systems that support creative consistency and efficiency.
• Contribute fresh ideas and design solutions that elevate the brand's digital presence, improve site functionality, and enhance the customer journey.
• Participate in creative reviews, incorporate feedback thoughtfully, and refine designs from initial concept through final execution.

You'll Need to Have:

• Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Communication Design, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 2–3 years of professional graphic design experience, preferably within fashion, luxury, retail, e-commerce, or a creative agency.
• A strong portfolio demonstrating sophisticated typography, composition, layout, and digital design, with examples of website, email, and/or digital marketing work.
• Proficiency in Figma, with an understanding of component-based design, prototyping, and digital design systems. Experience with Adobe XD or Sketch is also relevant.
• Strong working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
• Familiarity with responsive design principles, including designing for desktop and mobile experiences.
• Working knowledge of HTML and CSS, with an understanding of how digital designs translate into production.
• Motion design experience, particularly in Adobe After Effects or similar software, is a plus.
• Exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to ask questions, present ideas, seek clarification, and collaborate constructively with creative and business stakeholders.
• A proactive attitude, openness to feedback, and genuine enthusiasm for developing your creative skills.
• Ability to work in-office four days per week in Midtown Manhattan.
