Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited U.S. law school or foreign law degree (LL.B./J.D. equivalent) and an LL.M. in Corporate/Taxation/International Tax from a U.S. institution.
• Bar admission in a primary U.S. jurisdiction (e.g., NY, CA).
• Preferred: Dual professional qualifications (U.S. and foreign).
• Plusses: Proficiency in Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Conduct legal and tax research on business, international tax, and cross-border planning issues.
• Assist in the preparation of memoranda and client-facing materials.
• Support structuring of international investments, entities, and trusts.
• Assist with drafting legal documents (trust agreements, corporate documents, and internal memoranda).
• Take an active role in managing assignments, including anticipating next steps and identifying planning opportunities.
• Collaborate directly with partners and coordinate with foreign counsel and advisors.
• Contribute to the development of the firm’s network, including maintaining relationships with peers, alumni, and international contacts.
• Participate in relevant professional events, bar associations, and international tax forums.
