Job summary

Perpetua Resources Idaho, Inc. is seeking an entry-level GIS Technician to support spatial data management, mapping, and GIS services at the Stibnite Gold Project in Idaho.

You will work under senior staff to acquire, organize, and maintain data, produce maps, and assist with field GPS and drone workflows, building technical depth toward advanced GIS roles. Ideal candidates are recent graduates with foundational GIS coursework and a strong eye for data quality, accuracy, and collaboration with

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in GIS or related Earth science; GIS coursework or certificates welcome.
• 0–2 years GIS experience; mining or environmental exposure is a plus.
• Proficiency with ESRI ArcGIS Pro and data QA practices.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain spatial datasets (vector, raster, LiDAR) with metadata.
• Digitize, georeference, and attribute features from field data and imagery.
• Produce maps and visualizations for engineering, geology, and permitting.
• QA/QC on spatial datasets and maintain project archives.
• Support field GPS data collection and drone data workflows.
• Develop scripting to automate workflows and improve efficiency.
