Job summary

RSI is seeking a Junior GIS Analyst in Grand Junction, CO, supporting the DOE LM program. The role focuses on producing maps, managing spatial data, and QA/QC to ensure data quality and accuracy.

You'll work with Esri software to create web maps and 3D visualizations, ingest field data, and collaborate with project teams to meet program objectives. Travel 5% required. Bachelor’s degree and GIS training required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/geography/environmental science/geology with GIS training.
• 0-5 years of relevant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and produce high-quality maps, figures, web maps, and 3D visual representations using GIS software.
• Compile, digitize, georeference, and integrate spatial datasets from diverse sources.
• Perform basic spatial analyses and data modeling to generate tables, data layers, and summary reports.
• Assist with designing, populating, and maintaining geospatial databases across platforms.
• Conduct QA/QC reviews on internal and field-collected data for topology, attributes, and metadata.
