Job summary

Dobson Communications Corporation is seeking a GIS Analyst I/II to support development and maintenance of geospatial data repositories. The role entails data entry, map publication, scripting for automation, and collaboration with stakeholders to guide GIS system development.

The position requires ESRI ArcGIS Desktop/ArcGIS Pro experience, strong analytical skills, and the ability to train end users while managing documentation and procedures. Office suite proficiency is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and/or GIS experience.
• Experience with ESRI ArcGIS Desktop or ArcPro software including ESRI Apps like Field Maps/ArcGIS Online (AGOL)/ESRI Portal and Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Required.
• File and generate reports.
• Clerical skills. Ability to understand and carry out complex oral and written directions.
• Ability to work under pressure with good organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Initiative in recognizing need for improvement in, or adaptation of, existing systems and effecting changes in them.

Responsibilities

• Review and interpret data sources; enter, edit, and update GIS spatial data and attributes.
• Create and publish hosted feature layers and webmaps to AGOL and Enterprise.
• Write, update, and maintain scripts for automation and integration.
• Define GIS product needs and develop GIS products per standards.
• Tailor GIS web mapping applications to user requirements.
• Provide user training and maintain documentation and procedures.
• Update trackers based on project progress.
• Import/export data to/from various formats.
