At AtkinsRéalis in Denver, CO seeks a Junior Geotechnical Engineer to join our Minerals & Metals team. The role involves collaborating on tailings dam designs, heap leach pads, and water storage facilities, alongside preparing geotechnical investigation programs and supervising field work.

Ideal candidates hold a Civil Engineering degree (Geotechnical focus); MSc preferred, and 3–5 years in civil-geotechnical consulting with PE licensure within 12 months is desired.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with emphasis in Geotechnical Engineering.
• Master’s degree in Geotechnical/Geological Engineering preferred.
• 3–5 years of professional civil-geotechnical consulting experience; PE licensure within 12 months preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate on design of tailings dams, heap leach pads, and water storage facilities.
• Prepare geotechnical investigation programs and supervise site investigations.
• Coordinate laboratory testing and prepare factual reports; use GeoStudio, Rocscience, PLAXIS for analyses.
• Develop geotechnical design recommendations for foundations, slope stability, and dams.
