Job summary

BGC Engineering Inc. is seeking junior engineers and geoscientists with a passion for applied earth sciences. The role blends field investigations, lab data interpretation and office reporting to support mining, pipelines, transportation, energy, and community projects.

Ideal candidates are recent graduates or students enrolled in related programs, eager to learn, travel to remote sites for field work up to two weeks, and collaborate within a One Team culture that values safety and mentorship.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in, or a recent graduate of, a relevant undergraduate degree in Civil (Geotechnical/Hydrotechnical/General) or Geological Engineering, Geoscience, Geology, Geophysics or a related field
• 0-5 years of experience
• Excellent written, presentation and oral communications
• MS Office skills
• A second language is an asset
• A post-graduate degree is an asset

Responsibilities

• Work on field and office projects supporting mining, pipelines, transportation, energy, and community sectors
• Perform geotechnical investigations, site work, and data interpretation under supervision
• Prepare reports and analyses from field and lab data
• Travel to remote field locations for site investigations and monitoring
