Job summary

Midtown Home Improvements is seeking an entry-level Software Engineer I - Full Stack to join our on-site team in Wentzville, MO. You will contribute to real production software used by employees, working closely with senior developers to grow your skills across frontend, backend, databases, and AI-assisted development.

You’ll build features for internal business applications, develop UI with Vue/Nuxt, and craft APIs with Node/NestJS, using PostgreSQL, Prisma, and Redis.

Qualifications

• Early-career software developer with solid foundation and willingness to learn on real production apps.
• Understands JavaScript/TypeScript fundamentals and can work with modern frontend frameworks.
• Has completed a coding bootcamp or CS program or similar self-directed development.

Responsibilities

• Build and improve features for internal business applications.
• Develop frontend interfaces using Vue and Nuxt.
• Build backend APIs and business logic using Node.js and NestJS.
• Work with PostgreSQL, Prisma, and Redis.
• Fix bugs, troubleshoot production issues, and improve applications.
• Use Git, PRs, testing, and code review as part of development.
• Collaborate with internal users to understand problems and deliver practical solutions.
• Learn unfamiliar technologies as projects require.
