Midtown Home Improvements in Wentzville, MO, is seeking a Software Engineer I - Full Stack to join our on-site Technology Department. This junior role focuses on building real production software for our operations, not practice projects.
You will grow by working with experienced developers on frontend in Vue/Nuxt and backend in Node.js/NestJS, using PostgreSQL, Prisma, and Redis in a real business context.

Salary: $45,000–$60,000 per year, based on relevant experience and demonstrated skills

Our Technology Department builds proprietary software used throughout the company every day. We are looking for a Software Engineer I - Full Stack (Junior Full-Stack Developer) who has a solid foundation in software development and wants the opportunity to grow by working on real production applications.
This is not an internship, and you will not spend your time doing practice projects. You will contribute to software used by real employees, solve real business problems, and work directly with experienced developers who can help you grow.
This position is 100% on site in Wentzville, Missouri. Applicants must already live within reasonable commuting distance of Wentzville. This position is not remote and relocation candidates will not be considered.
You are not expected to already be an expert in every technology we use.

If you have experience with React, Angular, Express, Fastify, another SQL database, or similar technologies, those skills transfer well to our environment.
AI-assisted development is a normal part of our workflow.
We use approved AI tools for research, coding, debugging, documentation, testing, and problem-solving. We expect developers to use these tools effectively while still understanding, reviewing, testing, and taking responsibility for the work they ship.
This role is designed for an early-career developer who can already build working software but still has plenty to learn.
