Midtown Home Improvements in Wentzville, MO, is seeking a Software Engineer I - Full Stack to join our on-site Technology Department. This junior role focuses on building real production software for our operations, not practice projects.

You will grow by working with experienced developers on frontend in Vue/Nuxt and backend in Node.js/NestJS, using PostgreSQL, Prisma, and Redis in a real business context.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of professional software development experience.
• Completed a coding bootcamp, computer science program, or substantial self‑directed work.
• Built meaningful web applications beyond basic tutorials.
• Understand JavaScript or TypeScript fundamentals.
• Have worked with at least one modern frontend framework.
• Have some backend and database experience.
• Understand basic Git workflows.
• Can debug problems and learn quickly.
• Willing to learn and take on meaningful responsibility.
• Live within commuting distance of Wentzville, MO and on-site

Responsibilities

• Build and improve features for internal business applications.
• Develop frontend interfaces using Vue and Nuxt.
• Build backend APIs and business logic with Node.js and NestJS.
• Work with PostgreSQL, Prisma, and Redis.
• Fix bugs, troubleshoot production issues, and improve existing apps.
• Use Git, PRs, testing, and code reviews as standard practice.
• Collaborate with internal users to understand problems and craft solutions.
• Learn unfamiliar technologies as projects require
