Job summary

Awetomaton is seeking a Junior Software Engineer (Full Stack) to support customers at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio. You will interface with end-users to understand and refine requirements for applications supporting mission needs.

The ideal candidate has 0–3 years of experience with TypeScript, React, NodeJS, Python, and RESTful APIs, plus a BS degree in engineering or a related field. Occasional travel to the base is required as projects delivery occurs.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering or an engineering degree.
• 0 to 3 years of software-focused experience.
• Experience developing web apps with React, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML and CSS/SASS/LESS.
• Experience building RESTful APIs and server-side logic with Python.
• Experience with Git and basic software configuration management.

Responsibilities

• Interface with end-users to understand and refine requirements for mission-supporting applications.
• Apply expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript and modern web frameworks for rapid search, discovery, visualization, and data retrieval.
• Collaborate with team members and decision-makers to deliver software at Wright-Patterson AFB.
