Job summary

Index Analytics LLC, a Baltimore-based health-related consulting firm for the federal government, seeks a Junior Full Stack Developer. You will design, develop, and maintain cloud-based web apps across front end, back end, and database layers, and contribute to RESTful APIs, AWS deployments, and CI/CD pipelines.

You will work with senior engineers, translate business requirements into user-focused features, and follow secure coding practices while contributing to tested, maintainable code

Qualifications

• US citizenship required and ability to obtain a U.S. Federal government client badge.
• Experience with SQL and Python.
• Familiarity with DevSecOps practices is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support design, development, testing, and maintenance of full stack web applications across frontend, backend, and database layers.
• Engage in full software development lifecycle with mentorship from senior engineers.
• Develop and consume RESTful APIs for integration with enterprise systems.
• Collaborate with AWS and infrastructure teams to deploy and support applications in AWS.
• Implement data access patterns with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL/Aurora) and integrate AWS services such as S3 and Secrets Manager.
• Monitor and troubleshoot issues in development and production environments; document root causes and remediation steps.
• Contribute to Infrastructure as Code templates and CI/CD pipelines.
• Support CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins) and assist in deployments.
• Follow security, privacy, and DevSecOps requirements with secure coding practices.
• Triagem e escalation of operational issues using monitoring tools (e.g., AWS CloudWatch, Splunk) as needed.
• Assist in remediating security vulnerabilities under guidance.
