Job summary

TechOp Solutions is seeking a FOIA Analyst to support the review and processing of routine and moderately complex FOIA requests. The analyst will identify responsive records, recommend redactions, draft correspondence, update case files, and help prepare accurate records-release packages.

The role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to handle sensitive information, and the capacity to coordinate with team members to ensure timely release.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 2+ years of FOIA experience.
• Knowledge of FOIA/Privacy Act and federal records-disclosure requirements.
• Experience handling sensitive information and PII.

Responsibilities

• Review FOIA requests and identify responsive records.
• Process routine, open, and backlogged FOIA cases per internal procedures.
• Review documents for responsiveness, duplication, and exemptions.
• Recommend redactions and withholding determinations under supervision.
• Use redaction software to prepare release packages.
• Draft standard correspondence using FOIA templates.
• Upload records and notes into case management system.
• Coordinate with team members and records custodians.
• Track case deadlines and processing activities.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
