Job summary

Corvid Technologies seeks early-career Flight Safety Analysts to join the Range Safety Group. The role combines engineering analysis, statistics, trajectory modeling, and software tools to protect people and assets during missile and launch operations.

0-3 years of relevant experience, strong technical foundation, coding skills in MATLAB and Python, and a drive for continued learning are desired. Security clearance is preferred.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizen and ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a similar STEM discipline with a strong academic record.
• Programming experience with MATLAB and Python for engineering analysis, data processing, modeling, or visualization.
• Coursework or experience in probability, statistics, numerical methods, dynamics, aerospace systems, computer science, or related technical areas.

Responsibilities

• Use analysis tools to predict debris impact locations from off-nominal flight, missile malfunction, or flight termination action.
• Support probabilistic risk analyses to estimate risk to public and personnel from debris impact.
• Develop flight safety risk mitigation products such as flight termination lines, hazard areas, and mission rules.
• Process, analyze, and visualize trajectory, debris, and Monte Carlo data using MATLAB, Python, and related tools.
• Develop, improve, and validate software tools and automated workflows for flight safety analysis and reviews.
• Document assumptions, methods, results, and QC checks for range safety studies and mission-support products.
• Collaborate with experienced analysts to review inputs, validate outputs, troubleshoot issues, and prepare technical briefings.
