Job summary

The FBS Analyst I at Texas A&M University’s Student Business Services provides accounting and business support to designated units, auditing, reporting, and managing routine tasks within a disciplined financial environment.

Under supervision, you will reconcile accounts, prepare and review entries for various contracts, and assist with budgets, external reporting, and project tracking while maintaining strong customer service for sponsors, students, and departments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent experience.
• No experience required.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and audit financial entries for multiple contracts.
• Reconcile accounts and participate in monthly accounts receivable meetings.
• Identify outstanding items and implement solutions.
• Provide customer service and communicate with sponsors and students.
• Audit tax exemptions and contract-related payments.
• Mentor student workers and support budget tasks.
