Job summary

Texas A&M University, College Station, is seeking an FBS Analyst I to provide accounting and business support for a designated unit. The role serves as a resource within the team, auditing, reconciling, tracking, and reviewing financial actions on assigned accounts and duties, while managing projects and routine reports.

Under supervision, you will handle contracts and payments for relevant programs, participate in key meetings, and assist with budgeting and external reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, or finance; or equivalent combination.
• No experience required.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, reviews, and audits financial system entries for contracts and programs (TGT, Tuition Promise Fund, WIOP).
• Reconciles accounts.
• Participates in monthly Accounts Receivables meetings for applicable programs.
• Identifies outstanding items and communicates actions.
• Provides customer service and problem-solving for team members, sponsors, and students regarding outstanding items.
• Provides oversight and audits of financial transactions.
• Assists with external reporting, including State Comptroller tuition surveys.
• Assists in preparing annual budget allocations and department budgeting tasks.
