Job summary

Texas A&M University seeks a Finance & Business Services Analyst I to provide accounting and business support within Student Business Services. You will audit, reconcile, report, and track activities for designated accounts and projects while collaborating with team members and sponsors.

You will also assist with external reporting, budget allocations, and process improvements, contributing to departmental operations and student-focused services on campus in College Station.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, or finance or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, and database applications.
• Knowledge of GAAP and financial management systems.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently on projects.
• Ability to apply rules and regulations in a complex environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and audit financial system entries for specific contracts and tax exemptions.
• Reconcile accounts and participate in monthly accounts receivable meetings.
• Identify outstanding items and implement corrective actions.
• Provide customer service and communicate with team members, sponsors, and students.
• Audit and review financial transactions and assist with external reporting.
• Assist in budgeting, commitment tracking, and department budget requests.
