Job summary

City National Bank of Florida is seeking a Financial Analyst Junior to prepare routine financial reports and support analyses for management. The role focuses on collecting, reviewing, and organizing data while identifying trends and variances.

You'll use BI tools and SQL to serve decision-making with accurate reporting. Under supervision, you will help develop internal reports and dashboards, assist in profitability analyses, and monitor data quality.

Qualifications

• 2 years experience in financial analysis, accounting, or related work helpful
• Experience applying statistical analysis or working with large data sets preferred
• Ability to learn and use BI tools to collect, evaluate and analyze management information
• Strong analytical skills with independent judgment in reviewing financial data
• Advanced proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, IFs, SUMIFs) and MS Word/PowerPoint
• Familiarity with ERP systems like Tagetik and OneSumX a plus
• Experience with large data sets and data analysis techniques
• Basic to intermediate SQL or similar tools for querying and validation
• Knowledge of profitability, pricing, and risk concepts
• Effective cross-department communication and attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Perform data mining and querying to turn raw data into reporting insights
• Assist in preparing financial analyses to improve information for management
• Maintain and update data analysis tools, reports, and templates
• Help develop internal reports and dashboards for clear financial presentation
• Compile pricing and volume data for analysis (rates, indexes, averages)
• Support evaluations of products and business lines using financial data
• Track impact of actions and provide follow-up data
• Learn and apply tools like Tagetik, OneSumX, Prologue, Qlik
• Document and update departmental policies and procedures
• Monitor variances in financial reports and investigate discrepancies
• Assist in other duties to support department goals
