Position Overview

Join our dynamic LP finance department at a leading non-profit organization in the heart of New York City's affordable housing sector. We specialize in financial management within the affordable housing industry. As part of our team, you'll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in providing quality housing solutions to communities in need.

As the temp to perm full-time Junior Financial Analyst, you will be integral to the success of our organization's mission in affordable housing development and community enhancement. This role encompasses a diverse range of responsibilities, including financial planning and analysis, rent arrears collection, and month-end closing process. You will have the opportunity to contribute to various projects that directly impact our communities and drive positive change across New York City.

Qualifications

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Real Estate, Construction, or related field.
  • Accounting experience 1-3 Years with emphasis on monthly closing, and compilation of Financial Statements preferably in a Non-Profit environment.
  • Resides in the Tri-State area, with the flexibility to commute to the office 2-3 days as required.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in financial analysis methodologies.
  • Capacity to work in a team setting and perform tasks/projects independently.
  • Familiarity with software applications such as Yardi and NAV preferred.
  • Proficiency with MS Excel (pivot table and VLOOKUP must), Word, and Outlook.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
