Job summary

Kleinfelder's Austin, Texas office is seeking an Entry Level Field Engineer to join our Construction Services team. You will perform routine to complex inspections and testing of construction materials in the field, prepare daily reports, and assist in geotechnical field activities under supervision.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering or Geology, an EIT or GIT within 6 months, and 0–3 years of geotechnical field experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Geology.
• EIT or GIT or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• 0 to 3 years' geotechnical field experience.
• Valid TX Driver's License required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors.

Responsibilities

• Perform observations and testing to verify conformance to plans/specifications.
• Submit daily field and data reports summarizing activities.
• Conduct engineering calculations under supervision of a professional engineer.
• Maintain objectives and goals set by the project manager.
