Job summary

Kleinfelder's Houston, Texas office is seeking an Entry Level Geotechnical Engineer to join the team. You will perform routine to complex geotechnical sampling, inspection and testing in the field, and prepare daily reports and data sheets for projects in Texas and beyond.

We are looking for candidates with a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering or Geology, EIT/GIT or the ability to obtain within six months, and a willingness to travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Geology.
• EIT or GIT or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• 0–3 years' experience in geotechnical engineering field.
• Must have valid TX Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Perform soil and groundwater sampling, logging, observations, and testing on materials testing projects.
• Submit daily field reports and data reports summarizing daily activities.
• Geotechnical laboratory testing experience is a plus.
• Conduct engineering calculations under the supervision of a professional engineer.
• Must be willing to travel.

Kleinfelder's Houston, Texas office is currently seeking an Entry Level Geotechnical Engineer to join the team! Candidate must be willing to travel across Texas and other states as project needs.

We're looking for a person with strong initiative, who will perform routine to complex geotechnical sampling, inspection and testing in the field, in accordance with the plans and specifications. The field engineer will prepare daily reports and data sheets and may be called upon to perform various tasks at the discretion of the supervisor. Duties will include geotechnical sampling and testing, laboratory testing, nuclear moisture density testing, and assisting in proposal writing and technical reports. Working well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment is a must. Strong communication skills are necessary to succeed in this role.

Role and Responsibilities

• Perform soil and groundwater sampling, soil samples, logging, observations, and testing on materials testing projects to verify conformance to the construction plans and specifications.
• Submitting daily field reports and data reports summarizing daily activities.
• Geotechnical laboratory testing experience is a plus.
• Conduct engineering calculations under the supervision of a professional engineer.
• Maintaining objectives, initiatives, and overall goals set forth by the project manager.
• Must be willing to travel.

Qualification Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Geology
• EIT or GIT or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• 0 to 3 years' experience in the provision of geotechnical-related engineering field
• Must have valid TX Driver's License
