Job summary

Knox Systems, Inc. is seeking a junior SecDevOps engineer to support the maintenance, monitoring, and security auditing of our cloud infrastructure across AWS, Azure, and GCP, on-site in Washington, DC.

You will work under senior engineers to develop elite technical skills in Zero Trust, automated compliance, and multi-cloud operations, with a strong security-first mindset and growth trajectory.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years in an entry-level technical role (IT support, sys admin, or cloud internship).
• On-site at Washington, DC office.
• Strong Linux and networking fundamentals.
• Foundational cloud concepts and Git workflows.
• Basic scripting in Python or Bash.
• Security-minded approach and willingness to learn FedRAMP basics.
• Excellent written documentation and growth mindset.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and triage Zscaler connectors and identity operations.
• Run Terraform modules and review basic IaC changes.
• Review security groups and network routes for compliance.
• Monitor CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions/GitLab) and triage failures.
• Assist with FedRAMP audit evidence collection and POA&Ms.
• Maintain Grafana and CloudWatch dashboards; participate in shadow on-call.
