Job summary

Knox Systems in the United States seeks a Junior SecDevOps Engineer to support maintaining cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines across AWS, Azure, and GCP within FedRAMP boundaries. You will focus on on-site work in Washington, DC under mentorship from senior engineers.

You will bring Linux, basic networking, Git, scripting, and a security-first mindset. This growth role builds expertise in Zero Trust, automated compliance engineering, and multi-cloud environments.

Qualifications

• Experience in entry-level technical role or related cloud internship/bootcamp.
• Familiarity with public cloud concepts (AWS preferred) and Git workflows.
• Ability to read/write basic Python or Bash scripts for automation.
• Understanding of least-privilege, IAM basics, and encryption concepts.
• Strong written documentation and eagerness to learn from senior engineers.

Responsibilities

• Assist in monitoring Zero Trust network access tools and remote access pathways.
• Handle basic Vault secret updates and credential rotations under guidance.
• Run pre-defined Terraform modules and monitor configuration drift.
• Review security groups and network routes for baseline compliance.
• Monitor CI/CD pipelines and triage failures; review automated security scans.
• Support in updating container base images for managed Kubernetes clusters.
